Design Engineer (KDM/PSC/GCH_AC)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for various functional subsystem designs forming part of the vehicular propulsion system
- Develop design concepts, churn out designs and drawings in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) system
- Perform calculation and analyses to justify design adequacy
- Install, test and refine prototype designs on vehicles
- Participate in field trials to verify designs
- Follow up and resolve problems relating to designs at prototyping and production stages
- Participate in design reviews and discussions with customer
- Liase with downstream counterparts and vendors in fabrication of designs at prototyping and production stages
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or Design specialisation
- Keen interest in developing, troubleshooting mechanical designs and acquiring in-depth technical knowledge in areas of responsibility
- Able to work on details in designing work with patience and initiative
- Possess good analytical and problem solving skills
- Basic skills in Unigraphics and Finite Element Analysis(FEA) software, knowledge in fabrication and machining processes would be an added advantage
- Possess positive and modest attitude in acquiring technical knowledge
- Able to communicate and sustain good relationships in dealing with working counterparts at all levels
- Able to work both as an independent individual and a strong team player
- Able to work in a dynamic environment, and resilient to changes
